A Character of Thomas Mallory's ''Le Morte'' Tale – Annowre was an Evil Enchantress from Wales who fell in love with King Arthur. Despite Her ''best efforts'' to seduce Him, The King remains faithful to Guinevere. Somewhat annoyed, Annowre uses Sir Tristan (bewitched), to battle The King. Guided by The ''Lady of The Lake'', Arthur beheads The Witch and thus breaks Her spell over Tristan. Some Historians and ''Arthur Scholars'' allude to The Greek ''Medusa and Perseus'' link by Mallory as well as using the example to establish Arthur and The Code of Chivalry with regards to ''Chastity''.
