Why Shouldn't I PM Staff for Game Help?

Recommended Posts

Do not PM staff for game help. Why?

The reason is simple.

Our staff are devoted to helping people, and always try to help as much as possible. By not sending individual staff members a PM and posting in the forum, you will also help other people with a similar problem, and they can also get the answer to it as well. This will also mean that it avoids duplicate posts and it helps visitors (and other members) find what they are looking for easier, helping people in the future who may have similar problems.

Our staff spend more than one hour online a day, and they will see your topics eventually. If our staff do not reply, then you may get a reply from another member. Sending a PM only duplicates topics, wastes server space, and our time.

All PMs send to us for game help will be ignored. Post a topic in the forum of your choice. Sending PMs such as "My topic link: " will result in your topic being closed thus meaning no replies will be accepted. If you continuously and deliberately do this, then we may remove your right to use the PM.

By using the forum, everyone can benefit from your answer, so you could be unconsciously helping someone in the future.

Hey folks, I've just completed the stand-alone economic mission, Calanais! It's something of a grind - you cannot grow or buy food apart from hops and ale, and there are no trees. You are constantly assailed by bandits. Your only economic recourse is to sell stone, keep your peasants drunk and religious, and tax them. The aim is to gain (and maintain for a period) a large population (118 at normal difficulty). The early stages of the game in particular are tricky. The bandits will

As some of you may know, there are two versions of Stronghold 2: the Standard edition and the Deluxe edition. The standard edition patches to version 1.4.1, however, the Deluxe edition patches to version 1.31; and it requires a special Deluxe patch. The good news is that this patch was included on the DVD disc itself of late releases of this game (I have a late release which includes a 1.31 patch right on the disc; alternatively, the patch can also be downloaded here: https://www.patches-scrolls

    • Stronghold 2 Manager is here! Possible to play MP game with bots

I have good news! :) One of the original fans of the mod sent the installation file. :) This is where you can download it from, but be aware, it is likely that your antivirus will detect it as a troyan. I believe that this is nothing harmful, and I will try it later. Right now I don't have the other PC of mine here, but I will have it tomorrow, so I will try it then.   Another issue is that they said it works with 1.3.1 version, so I am unsure whether this is going to with 1.4.1 version, but we

    • Internal Game Modification & Format Deciphering (Support/Discussion)

Hello all, Stronghold 2 is definitely an aged game, but has a flare to it I haven't been able to shake since I first played it around 2005-2006. However, after starting it back up again recently in the past month I thought it was time to dig deeper into what makes this game work and how we can get more out of it. First, my background is a back-end low-level (closer to machine language than languages like Python - I work with C++ and such) programmer. I love binary data (especially binary files)
