Launch trailer revealed as Stronghold Crusader 2 becomes the number one top selling game on Steam!

Thank You

Thank you for supporting us and making Stronghold Crusader 2 the number one best selling game on Steam. Our first ever independently developed and funded Stronghold game, Crusader 2 was built with your encouragement, feedback and support over the past two years. This is far from the end for the game, with content updates, DLC and patches all planned to follow in the weeks and months after launch, but it gives us great pleasure to say that our strategy sequel is now available on Steam! (http://store.steampowered.com/app/232890/) Please note that anyone who pre-ordered the game should now have received their Stronghold Kingdoms Power Pack.

Just like you some of us, having worked on Stronghold Crusader back in 2002, have been waiting for this moment for over twelve years now. From the very first day of development it has been an honour to work on this project and we hope Crusader 2 meets your expectations as fans of the first game and the series as a whole.

If you enjoyed spending long nights fending off fiendish AI opponents and friends in the original, Crusader 2 will provide you with everything you need to relive those memories. With two campaigns, six skirmish trails, eight AI characters, co-op, a map editor, free build mode and a selection of multiplayer maps, Crusader 2 delivers the long-lasting challenge you expect from a Stronghold game.

We can?t wait for you to try it out.

Very nice.

Good to heat that the launch was a success.

I baught the game yesterday and so far I have only been able to take a short look into it. There are - of course - things that still need ot be fixed. But overall my impression is good. I spent a few happy hours with the game so far.

I think it's pretty impressive that they managed to get a patch out already to fix some bugs - I'm going to be getting it shortly after hearing (tonight when I get in if I can be bothered) it looks pretty good so far!

If anyone is interested in writing any articles on SHC2 that will appear on the main site, you can PM them to me & I'll add them for you :)

    • Stronghold 2 War Campaign Discussion

I recently got a new computer, and I decided to give Stronghold 2 another go. I didn't play it a lot originally because I played the original and Crusader first, and I didn't really like the added complexity of Stronghold 2 at the time. Once you get into it though, it's fun in its own right. I've been playing through the war campaign, and I've gotten pretty far. Today I finished Chapter 11 (Treachery).   This level is really difficult at the beginning. I tried keeping the original layout at firs

    • Need Beta-testers for Stronghold Crusader Aiv Mod

Been working on a whole new AIV folder/mod for months, and probably spent more than 600 hours on it so far. More on the work on the AIV below. Need some testers for this AIV mod. I've made 8 new castles for each of the 16 characters, 128 new castles in total, and none of them are identical. There will be around 60 scenarios (30 from original trail and 30 from warchest trail) in total for you testers. I'll do the rest (some I've already done). I have a hard time doing it (everything), as I h
