Fallen Lands (Kingmaker Map)

Recommended Posts

So I have been working on this map for the last 3 hours and worked on it in 5 hours in total. And it is now finished, for those who wish to download and play it, here you go.

Fallen Lands is a 5 player Kingmaker map with a variety of different villages to choose from. The terrains theme is messy (good messy) to make the map look as if the lands have been trampled on, blood spilt, fallen castles have all been part of an earlier time of the map. The name "Fallen Lands" is because of all this.

Each territory has it's advantages to defending and it's disadvantages to defending. Where one territory may be very large, the smaller territory may make up for it by the high grounds to use to it's advantages.

Here's some screenshots of the map, including the Mini Map:

Let me know what you think of the map. Thank you :)

The map looks great!

Although I think you could add some trees on those hills and mountains, and some more near rivers. It will also look more natural that way. :)

ADDITION: Also, I think you should remove the uploaded map from the attachment. If you consider the map to be finished, you should upload the map to downloads section - and after that, you can share the link to the file in the heading post. This way your statistics about your map would look different - you will have more downloads, and it is more likely for you to get some comments there. Besides that, you wouldn't upload the same file twice to this server. :) Besides that, it's nothing wrong if you make us wait just a little time for your map. ;)

Yes adding more trees seems like a good idea. I will do so.

Also, I can't delete the Fallen Lands attachment. It says "not allowed to delete).

Well, this certainly looks like an alternative to the other map for a change :)

I'll move this to the Stronghold 2 forum where I think it will get slightly more attention.

Also, I can't delete the Fallen Lands attachment. It says "not allowed to delete).

Due to security reasons, only staff can delete attachments. I've removed it for you now. If you're having trouble with submitting a file could you give me the link you're using?

I'm not currently logged in to the site's file manager which I use to edit the files (I've just got up ZzZz ), I think that's what I'll have to use. Give me about an hour and I'll investigate, that should not be happening.

The second link will never work because the file is not there on the server. But I will look into it, rest assured.

Is the link correct? Or is there a different link you can give me for now :)

I understand the link wouldn't work. I thought perhaps the site link was incorrect so I tried changing it :)

That's definitely the correct link, the only other one I've tried and that doesn't work either. I'll take a look in a few minutes.

Okay thank you Chris. If I don't have time to upload it this morning (I'm going out for the day, I'll be back in time for the game tonight) I'll upload it when I'm home :)

Thank you kindly Chris. I'll edit this post with a link to the download when available :)

The map upload request has been sent. I'm not sure how long it takes, will I be notified if it's accepted or denied?

Only if you have that option set in your profile. It will take 24 hours at the very latest (normally between two & three)
